City of Brighton – Comprehensive Plan

Old hotel 10The City of Brighton is in the process of creating  Comprehensive Plan.  A comprehensive plan is a long-range vision for the future of the community and it serves as a guide for how the city can become the place it strives to be.  The plan will provide a framework for decision-making and will prioritize and direct development policies in different areas of the community.

Brighton’s Comprehensive Plan consists of four interconnected plans:

  • Master Plan
  • Parks & Recreation Plan
  • Downtown Development Plan
  • Complete Streets Plan

Giffels Webster, the city’s planning consultant, is assisting the city in developing a  plan that is engaging, understandable, and complete with clear implementation strategies to help the community move forward to achieve its vision and goals.

Throughout the planning process, this page will be updated with additional information, including presentations, meeting dates, and draft documents.  Please check back regularly to be informed of the latest information in this plan making process.
